towards the strike of November 14 03.11.2008 | University Universities in the growth of the mobilization against L. 133 in the first place in the student component, goes hand in hand with the great event of the School on 30 October and with the success of the strike.
A first sign of concern that these initiatives are producing in the coalition government is the decision to "slow down" further legislative initiatives already announced, avoid presenting the "plan" for the University, improper and switch the weapon from the decree used here to the presentation of a bill, without bypassing the parliamentary confrontation as was the case until now. It 'clear that some political forces are looking to mobilize a majority in place with an eye not at all clear, and the nervous reactions, which indicates complaints and law enforcement interventions, is an indicator of this concern, especially when compared to the maturity and knowledge that students are demonstrating.
It 'must say though that the decision not to further aggravate the situation forces have not moved an inch to remove the priority rules of L. 133: if the Government thinks the time to dilute to allow cooling of the climate of mobilization, and resume the journey easier, but it is our firm determination to build pathways to long-term conflict, primarily to allow the repeal of the rules, and then the opening of a true comparison of merit on legislative action. And 'hardly necessary to recall that, for the first time in republican history, social forces have never met the Minister Gelmini since his inauguration, and all measures have been taken out of any relationship, even informative.
