Lo afferma il prorettore dell'università di Torino, Sergio Roda, aggiungendo che l'altro grande motivo di apprensione è il blocco del turn-over: “A Torino – spiega – abbiamo in programma 500 pensionamenti. Potremo sostituirli solo con 100 docenti. Non solo abbiamo un taglio netto di 400 insegnanti, ma in questo modo viene impedito anche il ringiovanimento dell'università”.

Continuano a Napoli le manifestazioni ei cortei spontanei di studenti che protestano contro la riforma Gelmini. A piazza Dante si è formato un corteo di circa 200 studenti che è confluito a piazza del Gesù, dove insiste lo storico liceo “Genovesi”, occupato tre giorni fa, e dove si susseguono assemblee. Alle 19 è prevista una iniziativa degli alunni dei licei “Vittorini” e “Pansini”, che si raduneranno in piazza IV Giornate per dare vita alla “Lunga notte della scuola”.
10:27 Napoli, studenti del 'Serra' si barricano nell'istituto
Gli studenti dell'istituto 'Serra' nella zona di Montecalvario a Napoli si sono barricati nella scuola esponendo uno striscione all'esterno dell'edificio. Questa mattina gli insegnanti hanno trovato colla sulla serratura del cancello d'ingresso bloccato anche da una catena. Ieri un'assemblea si era svolta all'interno della palestra. Gli occupanti sarebbero entrati rompendo una porta d'ingresso laterale.

Una nuova assemblea con tutti gli studenti, riguardante le varie manifestazioni della prossima settimana, prima di tutte, la lezione che si terrà martedì dalle ore 12 presso il Colosseo, si tiene questa mattina alla facoltà di Ingegneria dell'università La Sapienza di Roma. Lo fa sapere una nota degli studenti che in 1500 si erano riuniti in assemblea in cui è stato deciso di occupare in maniera non violenta e senza blocco della didattica la facoltà.

A Perugia l'Unione degli Universitari organizza nella giornata di domani un'assemblea presso la facoltà di giurisprudenza. A Lecce i rappresentanti dell'UdU continueranno, per conto del Comitato per l'istruzione pubblica, a spiegare all'interno delle lezioni della Facoltà di Lettere e di Lingue i contenuti della L. 133 per giungere alla convocazione di un'assemblea. Assemblee studentesche sono organizzate con la collaborazione dell'Udu-Lecce anche nel polo distaccato di Brindisi. A Cagliari proseguirà il percorso assembleare in diverse Facoltà. A Bari l'Unione degli Universitari sarà presente all'assemblea con studenti, ricercatori, dottorandi, docenti, personale tecnico-amministrativo presso la Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia. Prosegue inoltre l'occupazione nella Facoltà di Lettere di Firenze.

L'Unione degli Universitari fa sapere che oggi sarà oggi ricevuta dal ministro Gelmini. “Ci auguriamo – dice una nota dell'Udu – che il ministro voglia intendere questo incontro come il primo passo verso un confronto stabile e produttivo che eviti il ripetersi di atti, come quelli emanati negli ultimi mesi, imposti tramite decreto legge senza nessun tipo di consultazione con gli studenti”.
09:56 Milano, iniziate le lezioni a piazza Duomo
Poco meno di cento persone si sono radunate da questa mattina in piazza Duomo a Milano per assistere a lezioni tenute in strada per protestare contro la riforma dei ministri Gelmini e Tremonti. In questo momento sotto il monumento a Vittorio Emanuele sono seduti circa 50 ragazzi della facoltà di mediazione linguistica e culturale che ascoltano una docente di lingua araba, prendendo appunti e facendo domande come se fossero in un'aula. Circa 15 minuti fa sono arrivati anche gli studenti di scienze politiche che hanno affisso sulla grande statua in piazza duomo uno striscione: “la vostra crisi non la pagheremo noi”. Al momento sono attesi altri studenti, dalle facoltà di Brera, politecnico e lettere, che seguiranno un totale di circa dieci lezioni.

Una ventina di studenti stanno seguendo nei giardinetti di Piazza Fontana a Milano una lezione di filologia slava. Tra passanti che vanno al lavoro, un vicino cantiere e sotto lo sguardo incuriosito di alcuni turisti, gli studenti in silenzio e con la massima attenzione stanno seguendo la loro professoressa. Alcuni cartelli portati dai ragazzi recitano: “Se la legge 133 non sarà abrogata, tutte le nostre future lezioni saranno così”. Al cronista che si è avvicinato per avere maggiori dettagli l'insegnante ha replicato: “Mi scusi ma è in corso una lezione”.

A Roma questa mattina i docenti di Fisica e quelli di Scienze politiche dell'università La Sapienza faranno lezione davanti alla Camera dei deputati, mentre un corteo di studenti andrà a protestare all'Adisu, l'agenzia per il diritto allo studio, accusata di aver alzato le rette delle residenze universitarie.

La rete studenti medi fa sapere che nel pomeriggio di oggi le associazioni studentesche incontreranno il ministro Gelmini. “La Rete degli studenti medi sarà fedele ai contenuti e alle richieste degli studenti che in questi giorni si sono mobilitati: chiederemo alla Gelmini di ripartire da capo e di fermare i tagli mostruosi sul comparto dell'istruzione. Il messaggio dalle scuole e dalle università di queste ore è chiaro: i tagli devono essere fermati perché sotto intendono una privatizzazione e una dismissione del sistema pubblico che nessuno vuole”.

La rete studenti medi replica a Berlusconi: “Apprendiamo questa mattina dal premier che esistono nel movimento per il cambiamento della scuola e delle università dei gruppi di facinorosi che ricevono supporto dalla stampa. Così non ci è sembrato in questi giorni di grandi mobilitazioni, dove centinaia di migliaia di studenti sono scesi in piazza e hanno occupato i luoghi pubblici pacificamente, senza atti di violenza e di vandalismo. Chiediamo al ministro Maroni e al ministro Gelmini che venga rispettato il diritto di manifestare e di esprimere le proprie idee.

L'assemblea d'istituto del liceo classico “Umberto I” di Palermo ha proclamato l'autogestione a partire da oggi. Nel pomeriggio gli studenti hanno fissato un incontro, fuori dalla scuola, per continuare a discutere le modalità di svolgimento della protesta. Partirà invece da domani l'autogestione decisa dagli studenti del liceo scientifico “Cannizzaro”, sempre a Palermo.

Non cedono di un passo gli studenti milanesi e oggi sono pronti a scendere di nuovo in piazza. Ancora una volta 'occuperanno' il salotto buono della città: piazza del Duomo si trasformerà, a partire dalle 10 circa, in una grande aula. Una lezione all'aperto per coinvolgere tutti in una protesta contro la legge 133 “che porterebbe – sostengono i manifestanti – al collassso del sistema universitario pubblico”.
08:43 Bologna, 1500 persone in piazza
Studenti, genitori e docenti, circa 1.500 in totale, si sono radunati ieri sera in piazza Nettuno a Bologna. La piazza si è trasformata in un'aula a cielo aperto con tanto di banchi e una lavagna, anche in occasione del collegamento con la trasmissione 'Annozero'. Sul posto, scandendo “Noi la crisi non la paghiamo”, sono arrivati inoltre alcune centinaia di studenti universitari dell'assemblea di ateneo, per la maggior parte iscritti alla facoltà di Lettere. Tappezzata di striscioni anti Gelmini la facciata di palazzo D'Accursio, sede del Comune di Bologna. Tra i manifestanti anche alcuni ricercatori del Cnr e dell'Istituto nazionale di astrofisica che si sono vestiti da fantasmi per testimoniare la mancanza di attenzione nei confronti dell'università.

Migliaia di persone hanno sfilato ieri sera lungo le strade del centro storico di Siena per protestare con una fiaccolata contro il decreto Gelmini. Oltre 8.000, secondo gli organizzatori, i partecipanti alla manifestazione. Moltissimi gli studenti in corteo, che avevano sfilato già nel pomeriggio in un'altra iniziativa, insieme a lavoratori e esponenti politici. In piazza Salimbeni hanno preso la parola esponenti dei sindacati, dei partiti, delle associazioni studentesche, dei genitori e dei lavoratori.
08:36 Pavia, proseguono le proteste in scuole e università
Proseguono le proteste nelle scuole di Pavia contro il decreto Gelmini. All'Università sono stati bloccati gli esami di Diritto Penale alla Facoltà di Giurisprudenza in quanto mancavano i dottorandi, per protesta, che facevano parte della commissione. Gli studenti che hanno saltato l'esame saranno interrogati soltanto il prossimo 3 novembre. A Mortara (Pavia) gli studenti dell'istituto tecnico Pollini hanno occupato la scuola, sfilando in centro città contro la riforma prevista dal governo. Alcuni di loro hanno anche trascorso la scorsa notte all'interno dell'istituto: insieme ai ragazzi, per controllare che non succedesse nulla di grave, anche il preside.

Da stamattina anche la facoltà di Musicologia sede distaccata dell'Università degli Studi di Pavia a Cremona entrerà in agitazione, prima con una assemblea straordinaria alle 10.30 aperta ai docenti, al seguito della quale saranno decise le misure migliori da adottare per portare avanti la protesta.

“Io non ho cambiato assolutamente atteggiamento, vale quello che ho detto, e ne ho parlato anche con il ministro dell'Interno: se lo Stato vuole essere Stato deve difendere il diritto dei cittadini a frequentare le scuole e le università”. Silvio Berlusconi, torna così sulle polemiche dei giorni scorsi sulla possibilità di utilizzare la forza pubblica negli atenei e nelle scuole e ribadisce che “se ci sono dei facinorosi che vogliono manifestare hanno tutte le strade possibili e immaginabili per farlo, ma non devono impedire l'accesso alle strutture pubbliche a chi non condivide quelle proteste”.

Nessun dialogo con la sinistra “che mi chiama dittatore”. Così il presidente del consiglio, Silvio Berlusconi, risponde alle domande dei giornalisti sulla presa di posizione del Pd dopo le parole pronunciate nei giorni scorsi dallo stesso premier sulle proteste nelle scuole e nelle università. “Non mi interessa – risponde Berlusconi – io ho una maggioranza in parlamento, ho avuto un voto e degli apprezzamenti dal pubblico. Siccome da sinistra – aggiunge – non sono mai venute cose giudiziose e positive io vado avanti a realizzare il mio programma indipendentemente da tutti i teatri e teatrini che mette in campo la sinistra”.

“In tantissime manifestazioni organizzate dall'estrema sinistra e dai centri sociali, così come mi ha confermato il ministro dell'Interno, ci sono dei facinorosi: non tutti naturalmente, dei piccoli gruppi, ma nei cortei organizzati da queste entità ci sono facinorosi che hanno il supporto dei giornali”. Alla fine la sinistra ce l'ha fatta a far passare berlusconi per un bugiardo, falso e questo perchè in italia nonostante che ci siano molti giovani nelle università e dovrebbero avere un minimo di preparazione, purtroppo l'italiano non lo capiscono ancora bene. Berlusconi da buon liberale ha voluto garantire la democrazia ei diritti di tutti i cittadini. Ma se qualcuno vi entra in casa e ve la occupa, chi chiamate? La CROCE ROSSA!!??
