CONCLUDING DOCUMENT OF THE GENERAL COUNCIL
THE SCHOOL OF ICFTU September 30, 2008
The General Council of the National School ICFTU, meeting in Rome on 30
September 2008, heard the report of the Secretary-General Francesco Scrima
approve, together with the contributions that emerged from the debate and the intervention of the Secretary
Confederation, George Santini.
The General Council
Confirms the belief that the State public school system, in its
constitutionally enshrined in the national dimension, remains irreplaceable in garrison
protection of the right of the person to education and social and civil growth, as well as
represent a fundamental prerequisite for economic development and
competitiveness of the country;
RECALLS the need, stressed repeatedly, a social contract goals

Law 133/08 of any reference to the single teacher and the school time of 24
hours in primary schools;
_ The restoration of conditions that allow a real comparison on measures
implementing art. 64 of Law 133/08, through a review of the objectives,
which there is currently no room for sharing, and the guarantee of a
periodic review of the sustainability of interventions in terms of effectiveness and
quality of service;
_ Real guarantees on time and resources for the renewal of the contract,
accompanied by the commitment of government and laws to prevent incursions
